Aaron if I had not told you before, Jasper, Lake Louise & Banf was were your Aunt Barbara & I spent our honeymoon. Glenallen is were my brother David met his wife Suzy. So Alaska & Canada have been good to us. I am sure you will enjoy the rest of your time in Alaska. I did forget to mention that it can rain/drizzle alot at times but that just added to your adventure. Hope to see you sometime in Pittsburgh or Minnesota. I had a wheel I built, well sort of rebuilt from someone who didn't do such a hot job, go to the Paris-Breast-Paris. Your riding on 23 years experience there my man, I wouldn't steer you wrong ;) I should have painted little "Scooter faces" on the valve caps so I could ride along! I hope they continue doing their job well for you. Man, handlebar tape that made it across the US, wheels ridden to another country, I'll have to start a Scooter-repairs-for-the-long-distance-rider scrap book or something. With the tag line, "I'm too fat to ride there but the stuff I work on can make it!" If you have a repair Q that might need immediate attention, here's the Scooter hotline: 412-215-9272 Those are the 2nd wheels I have built that someone has trusted to ride outside the USA. No, seriously that is so cool that you are in the Yukon, you win the state/province game permanently. Hunter Staum, the only real question is–have you seen any of the polar bear license plates yet?

I've been too busy working 120 hours a week to check in too often, but am happy to see that you're somewhere in Canada. That's good! I hope you're picked up some bear spray, or a big gun, or something for those bears. The brownies aren't as cute their domesticated cousins. I hope you're enjoying what you've got goin'. I'm reeking of jealousy and memories. Peddle hard. jd p.s. I remember strong headwinds changing to a nice breeze out of the SE once I hit northern BC and Yukon, hopefully you'll have the same. Hood while you were gone... ...okay, well not really. But I could see it from my plane as I flew into Portland, Oregon, and I'm pretty sure our altitude was higher than the peak. Using this logic, I also saw like a million bears...or at least flew over them. It's not my fault I don't have eagle-eyes... ps: I want to see a bear so bad. but I dont really want the bear to see me. Oh yeah, well I climbed Mt. Hood while you were gone…
